You Get Treated Differently When You’re Fat.
There, I said it. Here’s My Story.

I know this is going to get either a lot of hate, or a lot of praise, maybe both, but it’s a big part of my life experience and one I wanted to share with you all.
I’ve always been “the chubby girl,” but I was never very overweight until my mid-twenties.
I think at my heaviest I was about 315lbs.
Flying was a nightmare.
Walking was a nightmare.
I finally lost it when my knees were in so much pain getting up from the couch that I was in tears. That was the first day I met with a personal trainer.
To make a very long story short, I ended up losing over 130lbs and went from a size 22–24 to a size 5.
It took me 3 years. Diet and exercise.
That was it.
But that’s not the point of this story.
I want to talk not about how I lost this weight (and then proceeded to lose over 100lbs again after my pregnancy in the same way).
I want to talk about how I was treated when I was a larger size and compare that to how I was (and am) treated at a smaller size.
